I’m married to my job. Period!

Shifts are just crazy. Next week I’m working 7 days in a row. Jeezzzzzzzz

It seems like yesterday that I flew back home for your 23rd birthday. It’s been a year and we are still steady and awesome.. Hehe.. Hopefully we stay strong for each other darling.

Let me tell you a summary of being a nurse in Australia. I have 6-8 patients to care for which is shared with another nurse. Therefore, in average, i’m only writing 3-4 patients report..

In Singapore, im having 10 patients, even with an assistant nurse, i have to write 10 reports.

In a month working with current hospital, I have 8 off days and + 1 accrued day off.. TOTAL- 9!!

In singapore, I have 4 days off in a month.

Over here, you won’t be having managers breathing down your neck or any colleague reprimanding you like “why didn’t you this??!!” or stress you “better do this before you go home” kinds stuff.. The working environment is so great that I find myself wanting to go work and not dragging myself. But it’s kinda hard waking up for morning shift as the weather in Melbourne right now is nice to sleep in..

To put the icing to the cake, I have a total of 6 weeks for me leave! Compare to Singapore, I had 21! DOUBLE!!!!

Okay. I shall not talk about this anymore cause I would nor want to jinx it.. I’m eternally grateful for His wonders.

But on the side note, I do miss my colleagues and managers. And without them, I would not have attained the experienced that I have now.

The daylight saving is on. I am 3 hours earlier than Singapore. 7 hours  difference to Dubai. Ok. We stop there. No Dubai talk.

So whats new?

I’m well into my 3 weeks to my new job. At this moment, it is safe to say that I am not regretting my decision to become a nurse in Melbourne. There are so many differences in our job scope compare to Singapore yet I am settling in just fine. Adjusting to it smoothly. And pray it will continue.

I’m staying with my cousin and her family. Her two kids are just so adorable and I find that I am always looking forward to go home just to see them. Hurr.. I think i am addidicted to them. Their smiles and antics especially.

I know it is a short entry. But I am so tired! Not from the work though

Anyway.. till i see you guys in my new entry.

PS* Did i mention that i got myself a car!? (evil laughter)

Lynn aka Nur Amalina messaged me one morning to ask me whether I want to go Kota Kinabalu(KK) for free? Yeap.. she put it that WAY.. Little that I know that I have to compete for IT in JetSaver Light challenge. But we were game for it. The requirements that Jetstar needed

• List 5 things that we want to do in Kota Kinabalu with a budget of RM 120 sponsored by JetStar

We came up with an itinerary which I think was good the way we presented it. And TADAAAAA.. We Won!!! So we did these while we were in KK.

• Visit the Sabah Museum using public transport. Bus number 13 goes there. It cost us 90 cents each person one way. So total were Rm3.60. The admission to the Musuem is Rm4 per pax. No camera allowed. In the museum, we learned different kinds of ethnics available in Borneo. How they live before it is today. And how they emerged to how they are today. Total cost = RM11.60

• We proceeded to 1 Borneo Hypermall by bus too. Initially our plan was taking the shuttle bus. However in order to do that, we have to walk back to our hotel which is at least 20 minutes from where we were (Bus station). But while we alighting from Bus no. 13, we found a bus heading to 1 Borneo. So why not yeah? By that time, we were used to take the public with the Sabahans. Really living it up as Sabahans. I’m pretty sure that 1 Borneo has a lot to offer to tourist because it was so hug we barely has the time explore every corners of it. Booo. Yeah.. It is that BIG! We had our late lunch there at Kenny Rogers. Total cost of the lunch and the bus ride was RM 50.

• Next stop was the Signal Hill Observatory. Sadly, there is no bus going up to Signal Hill. Being girls, we hailed the cab. It cost us RM 30 to and fro. Not that bad as Lynn and I are not up for hiking. Signal Hill is well known for its view of KK. It was well worth it.

• By that time, we were rushing the cab driver to the Waterfront as we wanted to catch the sunset at a clearer view. And we did caught it. It was awesome. I love it.

• Last but not least were the seafood dinner over at FIlipina market. Warning; if you are someone who mind eating out in the open, then you would not like it. But both Lynn and I were thrilled by the seafood galore that KK was offering us in the market. We were really basking it in the atmosphere. We had some squids, crab and a huge stingray. You would not believe the price we paid for that dinner. RM27!!

So who said you cant travel budget? We proved it that we can do it with just RM 120!

Thank you Sabah Board tourism. For gracing us with a wonderful seafood dinner and the entertainment. Lynn and I felt very welcome right from the time we arrived right till the day we departed from KK airport.

NUR KASIH is like a combinations of all my favorite novels and come to life.

The women got addicted watching this show. I started to watch yesterday even though the show has been airing for the past 3 months. In one night n half a day, I have completed the previous episodes. Ah yes. I sacrificed my sleep just to watch this superb show. HURR..

penampar nabi(from me) , kepo jahanam(from kak ina) nak kena sidekick (from lina) semua keluar utk charater sara.. hahaha.. ok girls… pls BEHAVE!!…

And i love the way they video this movie. Superb.

Ps#Lina.. thanks eh.. im hooked.. But i watched it too late. Now you tube has scraped all their episodes.. I have to find other alternatives.. booooo.. n thank you kak ina..for your acc.. hehee…

Okay, one thing they exaggerated over the phone. The caller mentioned 3 separate sessions for $25. What they meant was; Machine, Massage and Body Wrap. All of which can be done in 1 session!

It was in that respective order that I got my treatment yesterday. I giggled a lot during the machine session. It was so ticklish la. The massage was okay, I had better. The body wrap was darn COLD! I was shivering for the whole of 25MIN.

The advisor mentioned, you wont be able to see any results in one session. However, after the session, I found myself fitted into my jeans easier than before. My mum felt the same too.

Overall, maybe these slimming centres are doing their job and not all of them are just gimmicks. You can try them for a trial. But they are taking up most of your savings. Unless you have someone who is rich enough to sponsor your fats away.

I would choose this method if this is the last resort. For now, I will choose the tradional method like massage only. And I have the right person to do it. Cik ZEE!!.. oh she is damn good with massage. The BEST! Trust me on this girls. For those who knew me well, knows that I love to pamper myself with massage (which mariam owe me one treat, tsk tsk tsk). So when I tried Cik Zee, it was worth my money! For all massage that I had before, she gave the best! She even have her own massage table which she will bring to your house unless your house is too far i think. But oh gosh. I cant wait for my thigh massage (when i get my moolahs)… hehe…

It has been 1 week and 3 days since his been gone. Miss him? Yes. Definitely. In spite of that, I find myself able to cope back to the previous routine when I was in Melbourne. Lucky me. I thought I would have felt the loss so unbearable. There are things that plays a part in this long distance relationship.

The joy of having long distance relationships

• If you are able to withstand the distance, you know your love for each other is stronger than you perceive it.
• You will tend to miss the partner more than usual and will be so extra nice over the phone ( i do that often:) )
• You appreciate the partner more so than you do when he or she is beside you physically
• You will see for yourself their patience and love for withstanding this long distance relationship – and you can’t thank them enough for their continuous support
• A phone call from the other party is so much anticipated- and when the phone rings, the instant smile spread over the face is so vibrant.
• For someone who rarely gives lovey dovey SMS and did send one out of the blues, could send the receiver into a fit of joy and euphoria. I was having that last two days. Thank you sweetheart.

The woes of having long distance relationships

• The insecurities hunch are unavoidable. Therefore trust is always the issue and the pillar for every relationship
• The percentage of losing the relationship is high without trust

I could not think much about the disadvantages of having long distance relationships. I know there are a lot. But I would rather stick to the positive notes. Anyone care to input the facts for joys or woes in having long distance relationships is most welcome to do so in the comment site. I’m just stating my joy in having long distance relationships. Not that I wish it should prolong, but these were memories I have for knowing I was capable to withstand long distance relationship. And hopefully still am capable.

So I fixed an appointment today at 11.30 to extract the wise one out. Hurrrr… I’m telling you, the pain was worse than before. I swear. The last time, after the operation, I was able to shop around Paragon and bought myself a mascara and an eye shadow. I could even sat on their stool and allowed them to fuss over my big and pretty eyes (i know im over myself). Today, I myself would be willing to get injected by morphine so to end this agony. I felt like my head was going to explode due to the extensive pain over my mandible.

Oh please, let Friday comes fast. So I could get over and done with the stitch removal.

I decided not to pose my extracted wisdom tooth (which the dentist sectioned it into 4 pieces) in the internet. Will I be banned  for posting a gross photo? My mum cringed when she saw my tooth (she is terrified to go to the dentist fyi)

I want morphine. Really need of one. So I could sleep in peace.

I felt bless because for the past two days of Ramadan, I got to break my fast with my family. Insya-Allah for the next 28 days. And for the next Ramadan. Besides the fact that I didn’t get the chance to do it last year, same goes to my brother who were in France. I think we both share the same sentiments silently.

My heart goes to my friends who are in overseas. Stay strong for this test that HE has given. It will pass and sooner or later you will be in the arms of your love ones.

She has got so many talents which she had shown in her own ways in all her movies.

Sepet, Gubra, Mukhsin, Mualaf (which i have yet to watch cos i cant get the DVD ) and last Talentime. I just knew that she directed another movie called Rabun which was not well publicised. Or maybe I didn’t hear about it.

Anyway, I cried for Talentime. Oh boy. What a freaking good show. It will be shown in Singapore on 22nd October though.  While I got to watch it from DVD.

Aida’s daughter that is..

AHhhh.. i can just hold Auni forever… hehe

To see Aida being with her daughter, is so mesmerizing. I can see a potential in Aida of being a great mother. And I wish her so.

But her jokes and sarcasm are  still there. No doubt. She will die hard trying to lose it. Hehe.

I remembered those days where we fought over trivial matters yet able to solve it just in time for lunch. Or we sat in the NYP toilets reminiscing the tortured days in school- of how much we cant wait to get out of NYP and carve our own future. Away from those bitches. Ah.. If they happen to read this, they will know who they are. Yes. YOU!

Oh well. We did carve our own future and got far away from those nasty and vile people. Thank God.

We had One for One lunch at Swenson. Which was so damn worth it. Hurrr..

sidetrack: Syafiq, we should have gone for Swensons during Lunch time rather dinner.. Terkopak duit seh…

Last we head to Starbucks for coffee. As usual.

This has happened before.  Twice! I think we both made an impression with the barista (did i spell correctly), we always had free drinks. Not one but TWO, in addiction to our initial order. Now.. Does anyone want to  have coffee with us?

Another matter that I’ve been looking forward for today was my religious class.

Officially I have passed Iq’ra. I’ve moved on to Al Quran. I am so glad and felt so blessed. I’m not sure why I did not feel this way before even though I had this moment when I was young. Perhaps at that time, I did not value the goodness of reading it.

I may be a slow fellow to start to learn and recite Al Quran. Nevertheless it is never too late.

Never too late.

So what is there to do when 4 girls have nothing to do on a monday? Get the gear moving and head down to Kbox..

Thanks for the invite Ezza. And through it, I found another ex-primary school mate. Whom I never thought I would meet again nor even remember her existence. Sorry about that. But when the memory chip starts its engine, I remembered her as someone who is kind heart ed and always ready for a smile.

Where else, I on the other hand. Was busy hanging around at the playgrounds and was called up to the stage for vandalism (which my friends and I did not commit). Kirakan kena sabotage la. Oh I remember it was a massive stand out on the stage. Almost 90% of the primary 6 malays in the year of 1998 were up there. Ah yes. Those were the days.

One thing that I wish to forget, was being labeled as SPICE GIRLS. Oh but the identity can never disappear. NEVER. Yesterday, Siti conveniently brought up that topic. Since we were in KBOX; songs such as Spice Girls were in tow. Hehe. Ah I don’t mind anymore. This is part of my memories in Lian Hua Primary School. A good one. But I will still cringe whenever that particular topic was mentioned.

Sporty Spice

He left for a position that was too tempting to pass. Apart from being sappy and feeling a tinge of loss; from the bottom of my heart, seriously, I felt happy for him. You can get a vast experience when you are away from your comfort zone. That I knew through my own experienced.

Oh boy.. It felt different when I’m on the other side of the gate. I wonder how he felt when I left him one and a half year ago. It must be a similar feeling as mine.

I did not cry as I fear I would. I know my voice was coarse due to the fact that i tried to fight back the tears from falling when I said my goodbyes. I knew if I blink, the tears would just roll down my cheeks. Alhamdulilah, I was able to hold it as if my life depends on it. I knew he would not want me to cry on his departure. But I did my fair share of shouting in the car when I was alone. Oh well. That was the only alternative I have at the moment in time.

I did a lot of sighing after his departure. My mind was not with me I’ m sure. The thoughts just flew out from my cognitive mind. My niece questioned my heaps of sighing. My mum too. I guess I was too caught up with the sense of loss, my focus was not there. From there, I realized, I shouldn’t act as such. I guess it was a sudden departure or maybe the act of denial that made me behave as such.

He told me to take care of myself, which I will. He told me to grab what I want in life given the time and opportunity, which I will.

I am 4 hours ahead of you. Soon, it will be 6-7 hours. I pray that we could withstand this test. You know sweetheart, time is always jealous of us. That I believe.
